OBJECTIVE
Inspire young minds to reimagine and build a better, more sustainable future.
When reimagining what 2030 looks like, we need the energy, drive, and innovation of the youth to help us co-create a better tomorrow.
While working at Harbour.Space University, I teamed up with Benjamin Franklin International School to put together a 2-day Hackathon for 160 students aged 12-15 years old.
Inspired by the UN’s Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), students took part in interactive workshops and design sprints to help them develop ideas, projects, and startups.
The goal was to help shape the next generation of entrepreneurs and tech lovers to become more purpose-driven leaders.

My Role
I led the project and collaborated with the Harbour Space & BFIS teams to build this 2-day Hackathon. My responsibilities included:
Concept Development: Mission 2030 - Reimagine & build the future. Students were divided into teams of 10, and were assigned one of the SDGs. Using design thinking & lean startup methods, groups were encouraged to come up with innovative solutions to real world problems.
Curriculum Design: Gamified learning experiences invited teams to complete 8 challenges. Focusing on Design, Marketing & Entrepreneurship, each challenge contributed to the development of their projects/startups.
Materials & Presentations: Iason Chatziioanou and I created videos, interactive playbooks and presentations for students to understand, complete and submit their work.
Event Coordination: Co-hosting and facilitating the event. On the second day we also had an Innovation Fair, where participants pitched their ideas to fellow students and teachers.
Project Management: Preparations, timelines and all communications with students, mentors and teachers.
