OBJECTIVE

‘Culture in Movement’: Celebrate diversity & the power of creativity to deepen human connection.

Flow Sessions - a place for artists, creators, performers, dreamers, lovers and doers. A series of sensorial events that explore culturally diverse artistic expressions and experiences in Barcelona.

A passion project driven by Art Director Dani Bejarano and I, Flow Sessions is all about creating platforms for artists to connect, experiment and tell their diverse stories.

For our first event, we worked with Makers of Barcelona (MOB) and co-hosted a special edition of We Draw featuring Flow Sessions.

Film Screenings

We celebrate ‘Culture in Movement’ by building inclusive creative projects that aim to redefine the cultural narrative of Barcelona today.

With more than 15 artists from 11 different countries, our first Flow Sessions had several areas where creatives and filmmakers could showcase their work.

The event had two floors. The first floor had an illustrator’s market showcasing artists' work with food and live music, while the basement was transformed into an artistic exploration of Culture in Movement. These areas included:

• Creative Flow: An open space with a variety of diverse art installations, exhibitions, live screen painting and workshops.

• Sensorial Experience: Projectors were used to fill a room with the sounds and visual effects of X&Y, creating various sensorial experiences throughout the day. (See video below).

• Cry Room: A Skype meeting room was transformed into an artistic confession booth by visual artist/illustrator Nelka Caceres-Rivera.

• Cine: We screened international short films celebrating cultures from countries like Morocco, Peru, China, Chile, Lebanon, and Syria.
